Demko Knives is proud to announce that our best-selling knife, the American made AD20 Compact, is available in a new version, the AD20S Compact Seax. Designed by John Demko as the perfect EDC, this blade is specifically engineered for utility as well as self-defense.
After carrying and using the AD20 Compact for about a year, John realized that he would prefer a more versatile blade shape, delivering a thinner slicing edge near the choil and a thicker, reinforced point for added strength. The result is the Demko Seax, inspired by the legendary early medieval Seax.
The Demko Seax features an exclusive Dynamic Grind which allows it to slice near the choil while simultaneously granting a thicker and sturdier blade point. This blade is specifically engineered to perform as a utility knife as well as for self-defense.
Typically, the bevels on a knife are the same angle from choil to point. For example, the AD20S is about a 5° bevel from choil to point. The Demko Seax rolls from about a 5° bevel at choil to about an 8° bevel at the point. All of this is achieved while maintaining a consistent 18° edge bevel.
The AD20S Compact Seax features a 3” MagnaCut blade and boasts amazing performance in toughness, edge retention and corrosion resistance. Blades are available in Slot or No Slot versions.
Titanium Handles are available in a variety of finishes including Smooth, Texture I and Texture II offer several options for the discerning individual.
